FINA Water Polo World League Inter-Continental Cup
Attracting the world’s best water polo players, the 2019 Fina Inter-Continental Cup acts as a qualifier for the Fina World League Super Final with both men’s and women’s qualifiers to be staged.
As well as host nation Australia, the qualifier is expected to attract teams from the USA, New Zealand, Japan, China, Kazakhstan, Brazil, South Africa and Canada.
Teams will use the event as a key stepping stone towards July’s FINA World Championships in South Korea. For many countries, there will be a lot at stake, with the tournament also forming part of Olympic pre-qualification for Tokyo 2020.
The international tournament provides a great opportunity for Aussie fans to see world class water polo action down under. The World League Inter-continental Cup is one of the premier water polo events on the international calendar and Water Polo Australia is pleased to be hosting nations from across the globe.
