VenuesWest delights Vinnies with generosity

Posted: 14 September 2017

The giving spirit is widespread throughout the VenuesWest community as customers and staff donate clothing items and gold coins in support of the annual St Vincent de Paul Society Street Appeal.

Temporary Vinnies bins are overflowing with clean and quality clothing items brought in by staff and customers at HBF Stadium throughout the week.

VenuesWest is honoured to partner with Vinnies to support this annual Street Appeal which aims to raise vital funds for their Emergency Relief program; addressing the needs of people at risk of homelessness through the provision of food, clothing, furniture and bedding, help with utility bills and rent, friendship, advocacy and referrals.

VenuesWest CEO David Etherton said, “I am extremely proud of the generosity of our customers and staff. To be able to provide items that make such a significant difference to the lives of those less fortunate is fantastic”.

Lisa Torre, Marketing and Engagement Manager, St Vincent de Paul Society WA said “We are incredibly grateful for the contributions and support received from VenuesWest staff and customers for this year’s annual Vinnies Street Appeal”.

VenuesWest works closely with five selected Community Partners to identify and contribute tailored opportunities and benefits to assist them in achieving their important community work.

VenuesWest delivers world class sport and entertainment experiences across its portfolio of venues which include Perth Arena, nib Stadium and Perth Stadium due to be completed in early 2018.

These are in addition to HBF Stadium, HBF Arena, WA Athletics Stadium, Bendat Basketball Centre, SpeedDome, Perth Motorplex, Champion Lakes Regatta Centre, WA Rugby Centre, State Netball Centre and the Western Australian Institute of Sport High Performance Service Centre.
