The ultimate guide for the spring school holidays

Posted: 16 September 2020

Have no fear, we have got you covered these school holidays! Read our list below for our top activities to do with the kids these school holidays.

With international and interstate holidays out of the picture for the spring holidays and WA accommodation booking out fast - it's a good idea to have some back up activities planned to keep the kids busy at home!

Holiday programs

Holiday programs are the perfect way to keep the kids occupied during the school holidays. With restrictions now easing in WA, it's the perfect time to take advantage of all the school holidays recommencing. At HBF Stadium we will once again be running our popular kids holiday sport program, where you can book the little ones in for a few days or a full week!

Soak up the sunshine

As the weather starts to warm up, take advantage of the days of sunshine during the holidays and head out to the park or beach for a fun and relaxing day. Spring is also the perfect time to head out into the sun, as it's not too hot and you can spend a longer period of time outside.

Cook up a storm

The kitchen is always a fun creative space for the kids, as it's the only place where they can make a mess and get away with it! On days where you haven't got too much planned or the weather isn't being kind, whip out the chef hats and recruit the kids to help out with dinner or a sweet treat. As well as lending an extra pair of hands, it is a great way to keep the kids occupied and squash the 'whats for dinner questions.'

Day trips

With accommodation hard to come by up north and down south, there's nothing stopping you from taking day trips to check out what Perth has to offer. Hop on the ferry and sail over to Rottnest for the day to cycle around the island, head to Scarborough to play on the playground or venture to Fremantle to visit the markets and hang by the beach. No matter where you live, the beach or a fun kids activities is never too far away.

Scheduled relaxation

As well as planning days jam-packed with fun and new activities, it is just as important to schedule in some down time for yourself and the kids. This scheduled relaxation time will give kids the opportunity to use their imagination and recharge their batteries after days spent having fun. It also gives you the opportunity to catch up on life admin, things around the house or some much needed chill time.

Want to pre-plan your days of holiday fun? HBF Stadium is the ultimate kids playground! There is never a dull moment in our venue during the holidays with our popular Kids Sports Club program, kids gymnastics and the pools always available to stop by and have a dip. Find out more and enrol into a program today.
