Proof of vaccination update 30 January
Posted: 30 January 2022
For the latest COVID-19 information, please visit our dedicated COVID-19 updates page.
Commencing this Monday 31 January 2022, visitors to our gym, and group fitness class participants, will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccine for at least two doses, as per COVID-19 safe measures announced by the State Government on 13 January 2022. These measures help us to deliver COVID-safe facilities and programs to our much-loved customers.
To ensure a seamless transition, please thoroughly read the following reminder and ensure that you have your proof of vaccination ready to present at our checkpoints as detailed below:
WHO WILL REQUIRE PROOF OF VACCINATION (OR EXEMPTION)?
- Gym users (member and casuals)
- Group fitness participants
Proof of vaccination will not be required for individuals under 16 years of age, individual pool users, and those participating in, or spectating in community based sports competitions or programs at this stage.
WHERE AND WHEN WILL I NEED TO SHOW IT?
Gym users and group fitness participants will be required to show proof of vaccination prior at either:
- Gym Reception
- Main Reception
Once you show your proof of vaccine, our team will update your account and you won’t need to show it again. If you do not show your proof of vaccination to the Main Reception or Gym Reception, you will be unable to book classes online and/or attend the gym or group classes. Your swipe card will also raise an alert upon attempting to swipe in. If you have already provided proof and had your account has been updated, please accept our thanks and note that access should be seamless.
WHAT ARE ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF PROOF OF VACCINATION (OR EXEMPTION)?
The acceptable forms of proof of vaccination required for our gyms or group fitness classes are the same as those required at other venues and events across Western Australia.
The WA government has developed a suite of materials to assist in this regard, which are available here, and in the key pages below:
- How to get proof of ID
- What proof of COVID-19 vaccinations can I use
- Get started with the Service WA app (including videos)
THE LEMON TREE CAFÉ
Please note that in order to adhere to current requirements from Monday 31 January, The Lemon Tree café will be takeaway only. Patrons are encouraged to enjoy their food and drinks in our expanded outdoor seating area, alternatively please speak to our friendly café staff regarding available seating locations.
VENUE ENTRY/EXIT
There is a single entry/exit point to the venue, which is the southern entry point on the upper concourse, which is best accessed from Carpark 4.
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO DO?
- Check in using the SAFE WA app or the Service WA App, or manually;
- Wear a mask within our venues at all times (apart from during vigorous exercise);
- Stay at home if you’re feeling unwell, and instead consider getting tested.
- Check our COVID webpage (under the 'News' drop down) for any venue updates
Note that our staff are authorised to request to see an exemption for patrons who cannot show proof of vaccination (at least double dose) and/or wear a mask. If you cannot provide an exemption or otherwise comply, then unfortunately you will not be permitted to use the gym or attend a class.
Remember, we are doing the very best that we can under these extraordinary circumstances and we respectfully ask that you please be kind and patient as we navigate these new requirements. Patrons who are abusive or aggressive towards our staff will be asked to leave the venue immediately.
We thank you in advance for your cooperation and support.
