New creche opening in December

Posted: 7 October 2015

VenuesWest is delighted to announce that a new crèche is being built at HBF Stadium with updated facilities to better meet the needs of parents and children.

Where will the crèche be?
The crèche is at the main entry of the venue with windows looking out to the new courtyard area.

Where is the entry point?
Entry to the crèche will be through the existing door near the television screens.

When will it be completed?
Works are starting Monday 12 October, with the crèche due to open mid-December

What features will the crèche have?
Features include;
• more space for play
• dedicated pram storage area
• separate play area for children under two years
• multiple windows overlooking the courtyard at the front of the building
• custom built children’s bathroom facilities

Will there be an outdoor play area?
No, the courtyard is not appropriate as a children’s play space. The door within the crèche provides an emergency exit, not daily access to the courtyard.

Are new toys and equipment being purchased?
Yes, we will be fitting out the crèche with new storage, art and craft supplies and an extensive range of age specific toys and games.

Will the ages of children permitted change?
No, the crèche will still be licensed for children aged two months to 6 years.

Do I still go to reception to get my crèche pass?
Yes, please go to reception or the gym as normal to purchase your crèche pass.

Will the price of a crèche visit go up?
No, there will be no change in price. Prices will be reviewed as normal for the new financial year.

Are there extra security measures given that the crèche is so close to the front entry?
The crèche has two internal doors as well as the door leading into the foyer.

Are opening hours changing?
No, at this stage opening hours will remain the same.

Is the capacity of the crèche increasing?
Yes, the capacity of the crèche will increase, with the exact number dependent on the ages of children attending each day.

Will there be a celebration to open the crèche?
Absolutely! Children and parents will be invited to a special ‘housewarming’ party to celebrate the opening of the new crèche.

For more information please speak to the Creche staff when you next visit.
