Meet your Olympic hopefuls

At HBF Stadium we are lucky to have some of the State's finest athletes train at our venue. As a valuable customer, your visit here helps support these athletes as they strive to compete on the world stage. These include dual Olympian Blair Evans, world record holder Brianna Throssell and Paralympic hopeful Ben Popham to name but a few. Our athletes success on the national and international stages serve as inspiration for others to pursue their dreams. 

Many of these athletes will be in the final stages of their preparation in the coming months as they either aim to complete their Olympic trials or have already been selected for competition.

Learn about some of the Olympic hopefuls that are training at the HBF Stadium pools below. For regular updates on WA athlete selection, follow the WA Insitute of Sport on Instagram at @insidewais.

Artistic Swimmers: Five WA athletes have already been selected and train regularly at HBF Stadium.

George Ford, Andrew Ford and Tim Putt have also been training at HBF Stadium until recently and will spend the majority of their time in Sydney training with the national team ahead of Tokyo.

Swimming: Both WAIS squads are training regularly at HBF Stadium and are eagerly anticipating the Olympic trials which will be held in Adelaide in June.
