COVID-19 Update 24 January

Posted: 24 January 2022

As per the Premiers’ announcement on Thursday 20 January 2022, Western Australia’s border reopening date of 5 February 2022 has now been postponed. VenuesWest is preparing our venues and operations according to the current State Government health advice, and  will continue to adapt our plans as this advice evolves.

Commencing 31 January 2022, as per COVID-safe requirements, gym users and those attending group fitness classes at VenuesWest facilities will be required to show proof of vaccination (at least two doses). These measures help us to deliver COVID-safe facilities and programs to our much-loved customers. At this stage, proof of vaccination will not be required for individuals under 16 years of age, individual pool users, or those participating in formal sports competitions.

To avoid delays or booking issues, our staff at our Main Reception and Gym Reception are now able to view your proof of vaccination and will then update your account accordingly. This means that from 31 January 2022, you will be able to book classes online, and once your proof of vaccination has been sighted, you won’t subsequently need to show proof of vaccine every time you visit the gym or take a class, so please remember to show your proof of vaccination to Reception on your next visit.

Acceptable forms of vaccination proof  are:

  • COVID-19 digital certificate through the new ServiceWA app
  • COVID-19 digital certificate from MyGov or the Express Plus Medicare mobile app
  • COVID-19 digital certificate saved to your smartphone wallet, with photo ID
  • Printed copy of your COVID-19 certificates, with photo ID
  • Digital or printed copy of your immunisation history statement, with photo ID

To read more about the best way to get proof of your COVID-19 vaccinations, please visit here.

All visitors, members, and staff to HBF Stadium and HBF Arena are required to continue to scan in prior to entry using the SAFE WA app or the Service WA App, or manually, and to wear a mask at all times (apart from during vigorous exercise, i.e. cardio and group fitness classes).

It is more important than ever that you maintain good hand hygiene.  If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend our venues and get tested instead. For the full list of locations visited by confirmed COVID-19 cases, please visit here

If you would like further information on COVID-19, please call the COVID-19 Information Helpline on 13 COVID (13 26843).

Thank you for playing your part in keeping all visitors and staff in our venues safe and healthy. To stay up to date, please continue to check our website and social media for the latest info.
